Transfer between your accounts

Move funds between your own Trade Llama accounts with Transfer in Wallet. It's internal: nothing leaves the platform.

To move funds between your own Trade Llama accounts, open Wallet and choose Transfer. A transfer keeps your money on Trade Llama; it only changes which of your accounts holds it.

Why you'd transfer

Your funds can sit in more than one account, and your Dashboard gives an overview of them. Use Transfer when the money you need is in one account but you want to use it from another, for example when the balance you want for futures trading is held somewhere else. The Transfer form shows which accounts you can move between.

How to transfer

  1. Log in and open Wallet.
  2. Choose Transfer.
  3. Pick the account to move funds from and the account to move them to.
  4. Choose the coin and enter the amount.
  5. Check the details and confirm.

You can check the result in your transaction history in Wallet and in the account overview on your Dashboard.

Transfer, withdraw or deposit?

  • Transfer moves funds between your own Trade Llama accounts.
  • Withdraw sends funds off Trade Llama, to a crypto address or your bank. See Withdraw funds.
  • Deposit brings funds in. See Deposit funds.

What isn't available

  • Sub-accounts aren't offered, so you can't create extra accounts to transfer to.
  • A unified trading account, where one balance backs every product, isn't offered. Move funds with Transfer instead. More in Margin, leverage and liquidation.

If something goes wrong

  • The amount you want isn't available: funds reserved for open orders, or used as margin for open futures positions, generally can't be moved. Cancel the order or close the position first.
  • A balance seems to be missing: check your other accounts on the Dashboard and in the Transfer form. It may simply be held in a different account.
  • For account-specific questions, see Get help with your account.
