Trading fees

See what you'll pay before you trade: check the fee schedule and the estimated fee in every order form. Trade Llama has no VIP programme.

Trade Llama's fees are listed on the Fees page, and every order form shows the estimated fee for that order before you place it. Check that estimate each time, because it's specific to the order you're about to place.

The fee schedule

The Fees page has the fee schedule. This article doesn't repeat the rates, so the Fees page is the one place to find the current numbers.

Check the fee before you place an order

  1. Open Trade for spot and CFDs, or Futures for futures contracts.
  2. Choose a market, for example BTC/USDT.
  3. Fill in the order form with your order type, price and amount.
  4. Look at the estimated fee shown in the order form.
  5. If you're happy with it, place the order.

If you change anything in the order form, check the estimate again before you confirm.

Spot trading rules

  • On spot, you trade with funds you already hold. Borrowing to trade (margin) isn't available on spot.
  • The order form shows the estimated fee for each order before you place it.
  • To learn how orders work, see Order types: market and limit. For a full walkthrough, see How to trade spot.

Converting and buying with a card

Convert shows you a quoted rate before you swap, and Buy Crypto shows an estimate for the coin and amount you pick. Review them before you confirm.

VIP levels, benefits and the VIP trial pass

Trade Llama doesn't have a VIP programme. That means there are no VIP levels, VIP benefits or VIP trial passes, and there's no rewards centre either. Fees follow the schedule on the Fees page.

What you can do instead: check the Fees page, compare the estimated fee in the order form before every trade, and plan the size and number of your trades with fees in mind.

If someone offers you a Trade Llama "VIP upgrade" or "VIP trial pass", treat it with suspicion. Trade Llama has no VIP programme. See Keep your account and funds secure.

A note on futures and CFDs

Fees are only part of the cost of trading. Futures and CFDs use leverage, so you can lose money quickly. Read the Risk disclosure and Margin, leverage and liquidation before you trade them.
